Winter 2019

Thank you for visiting the website of the Opus Chorale! We hope you will enjoy getting to know a little bit more about the Opus Chorale and our work. As we celebrate our 16th season, we invite you to join with us in helping to spread the word about our work.  If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us at

Our winter concert, Heaven on Earth,” is scheduled for Saturday evening, December 14, 2019, at 7:00pm in the anctuary of Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, West Virginia. The choir will be accompanied by 9 strings, 2 oboes, organ and piano. for more information about the concert, please click on the ‘concert repertoire’ link on the left hand side of this page.

We are fortunate to use Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, WV  as our base for all our concerts and rehearsals. The Centrum (sanctuary) has an amazing acoustic as well as having extreme flexibility in layout and set-up.

Also, the Opus Chorale has been invited to London, England in June 2020 to sing in a choral festival being held in Cadogan Hall, the home of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The festival is called, “Vox Anima London” The guest composer-in-residence for this festival is our good friend, Norwegian composer, Kim Andre Arnesen. This concert will be the start of our first British concert tour! Needless to say, we are very excited and humbled by this invitation! We will share more details as our plans develop over the next year.

The Opus Chorale is a choral group of only 24 singers and there are no openings for this fall season.  However, if you would like to be considered as a future singer and would like to be added to our waiting list for possible involvement in the future, please send me an email at the address shown below.  I will contact you so we can set up an audition.

Thank you for your interest in the Opus Chorale of West Virginia! We hope to see you at our winter concert on December 14th!
